Brazil. LED panel manufacturer, INFiLED, consolidates its presence in Brazil with the official launch of its operations in the country, reinforcing its already established international presence in more than 87 countries.
The INFiLED Brazil operation will be led by Orlando Custódio, CEO and shareholder of the Brazilian unit. He is an executive with one of the most relevant careers in the LED industry in Latin America, he has led the largest LED operations in the country and some of the most ambitious projects ever carried out in Brazil.
He is the founder of LEDWAVE, a company based in Curitiba and a pioneer in the sector. Custodio was responsible for bringing China's first LED factory to Brazil as a partner and CEO of Leyard Group, where he structured the entire national and Latin American operation, positioning the company as a Brazilian market leader in just three years. After his departure in 2019, he was invited to assume the position of CEO of Unilumin Brazil, where he led large-scale strategic projects.
Throughout his career, he has led flagship initiatives such as LED strips at Ipiranga gas stations, one of the largest LED projects ever realized in Brazilian retail, with more than 6000 m² installed. He supplied the screens for the studio of the television program Seleção Sport of the Globo Group. It also supplied the screens for the TV Globo and NBC studios for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
In addition, it pioneered LED installations in retail stores with the so-called "living facades", with LED screens installed in Duty Free that set trends in the retail sector since 2009. His work also encompasses numerous large-scale projects in Brazil and throughout Latin America.
A pioneer in sales and installation for the DOOH market, he installed the first display in 2010 with the vision that digitization would be a matter of time. Pretty soon, everyone would have LEDs. With the Brazilian LED market at an advanced stage of maturity, the arrival of INFiLED in the country represents a new level of technological offering.
Orlando Custódio pointed out that "INFiLED will now offer first-class solutions in Brazil, combining cutting-edge products, a structured local operation, constant technical support and a deep understanding of the dynamics of the creative, advertising and audiovisual markets. One factor that worries the industry today is the aggressive low-price strategy of some competitors. Inevitably, quality suffers, with potentially disastrous results. This is not our strategy, as we are looking for extremely high quality."
He added that "The technology is used in critical environments, such as control rooms, corporate environments, for the entertainment world, rental scenarios where we are leaders in this market, DOOH, among other verticals where reliability is essential. It's never a good idea to go for a cheap option and then run into trouble in front of the public."
As part of this strategy of proximity and co-creation, INFiLED is preparing to open its Experience Center in Brazil, whose inauguration is scheduled for March in Vila Leopoldina, recognized as one of the main creative centers of audiovisual, technology and innovation in São Paulo, the largest capital of Latin America. The space will be conceived as a center for integration, experimentation and creative development, which will allow customers, partners and market professionals to experience the full potential of INFiLED's portfolio in an immersive way. The Experience Center reinforces the brand's commitment to close attention, specialized technical support and the joint development of exclusive solutions.
