Latin America. Four AV-over-IP solutions from PlexusAV, Sencore's professional AV division, have been officially certified by the Internet Protocol Media Experience (IPMX), following the recent IPMX testing and certification event held in Geneva, Switzerland.
The P-AVN-4 IPMX transceiver, the P-AVN-4E encoder, the P-AVN-4D decoder, and the P-AVN-3-HDBT gateway transceiver are the first four PlexusAV products to receive this certification, after passing rigorous tests to validate their compliance with published IPMX transport, control, and interoperability standards.
The certification program has been led by the AIMS Alliance for IP Media Solutions, together with industry partners such as the Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA), Video Services Forum (VSF) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
The Geneva event was the first formal opportunity for manufacturers to certify their products to the emerging IPMX open standards framework for professional media over IP. Products that successfully completed the tests are authorized to incorporate the official IPMX mark, confirming their verified interoperability and compliance with established standards.
"This year is focused on demonstrating PlexusAV's commitment to open standards and scalable AV over IP design, so this achievement reinforces our commitment in this line and allowed us to communicate the certification at our booth at ISE," said Steve Cogels, Global Director of Business Development at PlexusAV.
He added that "For integrators and end users, this brings confidence knowing that PlexusAV is a forward-thinking technology partner, whose solutions are designed to integrate frictionlessly into modern standards-based AV ecosystems."
PlexusAV anticipates obtaining new certifications for other products as it continues to expand its IPMX-compatible portfolio.
