Latin America. Shure introduced the MXA925 Ceiling Microphone, its latest release in the Microflex Advance (MXA) line designed to deliver the highest quality audio performance, even in the toughest acoustic spaces.
In conjunction with the launch, Shure also announced a firmware update for the MXA901 Ceiling Microphone, expanding its ability to capture high-quality audio, flexibility and control from small to large meeting rooms.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the MXA lineup, Shure continues to push ceiling microphone technology to solve integrators' biggest challenges: delivering exceptional audio capture, simplifying AV installation, and improving network security and remote management to support AI-powered work environments, both now and in the future.
The AI-integrated digital signal processor (DSP) delivers industry-leading audio quality for modern meeting spaces.
The new MXA925 ceiling microphone features an all-new processing platform that gets smarter over time. The MXA925 features AI-enabled IntelliMix built-in digital signal processing (DSP), which delivers superior audio capture and optimal intelligibility in all types of acoustic environments.
For end users, this means that meetings simply sound better: voices are heard clearly even in rooms with poor acoustics, where it has always been difficult to hear. For IT and AV teams, this translates into fewer settings, fewer incidents and support requests, and more consistent performance across spaces, along with clearer audio that powers the AI tools that power daily meetings.
AI Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC), along with AI Noise Reduction and Reverberation Reduction, allows the MXA925 to overcome challenges presented in real meeting rooms, such as speakers too close to the microphone, reverberation caused by windows and other surfaces, people moving when speaking, or distracting background noises, such as keyboards or pen clicks.
These AI-trained features work out of the box, making them easy to implement and accelerating standardization across meeting spaces. Regular firmware updates will continue to improve performance and protect customers' investment as Shure evolves and refines the MXA925's AI-powered algorithms.
The MXA925 also integrates seamlessly into IT workflows, offering enhanced security with dual RJ45 network connectivity for safe and secure communications. Remote device management, real-time monitoring, and firmware updates are provided through ShureCloud.
Certified for Microsoft Teams and Zoom, the new MXA925 delivers the accurate and detailed audio capture required by collaboration spaces that rely on AI tools like Copilot or AI Companion on a daily basis.
Upgrade Expands Flexibility and Control
Shure also expands the capabilities of the MXA901 ceiling microphone with the v6.9 firmware update, giving customers greater flexibility and control with the same sleek industrial design.
New features include improved support for voice amplification applications using discrete outputs in Steerable Coverage™ mode, enhanced camera tracking using the Optimize Tracking feature, additional Automixer and Speech Gating Threshold controls, and a unique, fully flexible automatic coverage zone to ensure natural speech in more demanding room applications.
Thanks to these firmware updates, the MXA901 can now support even more applications in workspaces, and existing facilities can support more room layouts without the need to add or upgrade hardware.
Continuing MXA's Legacy
From the original MXA910 from 2016 to the current MXA925, the upgraded MXA901 and the recently launched MXA320, the entire MXA product lineup continues to innovate. Shure's focus on microphone system innovation has remained constant: we listen carefully to customers, refine performance, and develop platforms thoughtfully over time.
