Latin America. The audio solutions manufacturer LEA Professional seeks to grow the presence of its solutions in the Latin American market, taking advantage of the growth of the AV industry in its different segments in the region, as well as the boost obtained in 2025 in Latam.
To learn more about the company's plans and its solutions available in Latin America, AVI Latin America spoke with Darrell Champagne, Director of Global Business Development at LEA Professional and Matthew Garfein, General Manager of Audio Americas, its new representative in the region.
Darrell Champagne highlighted that "We are excited about the opportunities in Latin America. For a company focused on IoT-based amplification and enabled for the cloud, it is an ideal match. One of the reasons why LEA technology is especially suitable for Latin America is the geography itself. In a region where projects often span long distances, the ability to monitor, control and troubleshoot systems remotely without the need to send a technician to site represents a competitive advantage for both integrators and end users."
The brand's efforts in the Latin American market materialized with the appointment of Audio Americas as its distributor in the region, an agreement that was closed at the end of 2025. In this regard, the representative of LEA Professional pointed out that:
"The alliance with Audio Americas provides LEA Professional with dedicated regional representation, led by a team that has a deep understanding of the Latin American market: the main integrators, local channels and the particularities of doing business in the region. Audio Americas will be instrumental in the development of the market, identifying opportunities, strengthening relationships and ensuring LEA's presence in key conversations."
In this regard, Matthew Garfein mentioned that "We have admired the LEA Professional brand since its launch. We prefer to represent private companies such as LEA rather than large corporations. By working directly with the company's senior management, communication is clear and there is a mutual understanding of the challenges of the Latin American market. This allows us greater agility in creating products and policies that meet the needs of our customers."
The Audio Americas representative added that they are developing their distribution network in the region to make the brand accessible to integrators in all markets.
Regarding expectations in the region, he mentioned that Costa Rica stands out for its good performance, benefiting from continued multinational investment in call centers. The Paraguayan market is beginning to open up, driven by a boom in construction and investment. Tourism and retirement communities continue to generate new construction opportunities in the Dominican Republic, Panama, Baja California and many Caribbean markets.
"We encourage more AV integrators to add specialists to their teams to deliver a comprehensive solution that includes networking, lighting, and security. There is no longer any reason for an integrator NOT to install these subsystems! The next generation of integrators will offer a complete, turnkey solution that combines all electrical and electronic systems into a single, comprehensive design," said Matthew Garfein.
Finally, Darrell Champagne mentioned about Latin America that "what we are most excited about is the people. The growing base of audiovisual integrators in the region represents a real opportunity to forge lasting alliances and support the talented professionals who are shaping the future of the audiovisual sector in Latin America."
