Colombia. On March 5, Bogota will become the epicenter of regional technological innovation with the Summit Data Center LATAM 2026, one of the most relevant summits for the critical infrastructure industry in Latin America.
The Summit, organized by the International Computer Room Experts Association (ICREA) in partnership with ACOLDC, will bring together global manufacturers, data center operators, experts in energy, telecommunications and cybersecurity, as well as business leaders and sector authorities, in a space designed to present developments in mission-critical, artificial intelligence and virtual and augmented reality solutions applied to technological environments.
In a context where data centers support essential services such as digital banking, government platforms, telecommunications and AI-based systems, the event will put on the table the main challenges of the sector: sustainability and energy efficiency with a 2030 vision, operational resilience, business continuity, international certifications and cybersecurity.
The Summit will feature the participation of global companies and leaders in the sector, including Data centers such as: Ilkari, KIO, GTD and CLARO, which will participate as keynote speakers. Strategic allies such as CommScope, Schneider Electric, Eaton, Fluke Networks, Hanwha Vision and Charofil, along with other key players in the technology ecosystem, will also be part of the event. This meeting will also mark the beginning of a high-value tour that will begin in Bogota, continue in Medellín and then travel through Panama, Peru, Mexico, Costa Rica, Chile, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic.
"Colombia was chosen as the inaugural venue of the LATAM Data Center Summit 2026 due to its accelerated technological development. The country has demonstrated significant progress in availability and sustainability standards, consolidating itself as a strategic environment for the expansion of the industry," said Carolina Cortés, president of ICREA.
As the main organizer, ICREA supports this summit with 27 years of experience in the certification of mission-critical infrastructure. With more than 4,000 certifications of data center installations and 6,356 professionals accredited under its comprehensive standard ICREA-STD-131, the organization has consolidated its technical leadership in the region, promoting high levels of availability, efficiency and operational resilience in data centers.
"Today the digital ecosystem drives competitiveness, innovation and stability of essential services. This event articulates technical knowledge with opportunities for investment and regional cooperation, in addition to accelerating the adoption of world-class standards and consolidating a network more prepared for the exponential growth of AI and the digital economy," concluded Cortés.
