International. Bose Professional opened its new global headquarters, museum and experience center in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, solidifying its position as a developer of world-class audio experiences designed to transform any space.
The new headquarters, with its impressive 4,665 square meters, has been conceived to reflect the company's vision, values and dynamic future, marking an important milestone in its path of constant growth.
Designed by OTJ Architecture and built by J. Calnan & Associates Construction, with acoustic advice from Acentech, the building pays homage to the brand's past and shows all the potential and clarity of Bose Professional's present in this stage of independence.
Its functional facilities ensure its future leadership with spacious laboratories, testing facilities and office spaces. This new center will allow customers to experience first-hand the quality and performance of Bose Professional products, as well as receive specialized training.
"The growth we've experienced as a company during our first two years of independence has been monumental – we've built an entire global organization, established a new supply chain, and built entirely new IT infrastructure and processes," said John Maier, CEO of Bose Professional. "
A treasure at the heart of the new headquarters is the corporate museum, where visitors can discover Bose Professional's rich heritage through a collection of iconic products and innovative solutions that have defined the brand's legacy.
The museum has a collection of old and current loudspeakers, electronic devices, software, and portable systems from all stages of the company. "It's great to have a museum on campus that frames our history so well," says Adam Castillo, vice president of Global Marketing. "It reminds us of where we came from as we write the next chapter of a company with so much history."
Just steps from the museum, Bose Professional's current line of hardware and software solutions comes to life in the Experience Center, a 520-square-meter immersive environment built to deliver training and demonstrate the power, accuracy, and ease of use that define the brand.
The headquarters has an impressive infrastructure, including 6.4 kilometers of data and audio cabling, 300 meters of metal conduit, 743 square meters of acoustic cladding, and a 70,000 watt system to power the speakers, video equipment, and lighting.
Aiming to keep the company on track with innovation, the new headquarters features a full suite of custom-built laboratories and spaces dedicated to mechanical and electrical engineering, testing, measurement, quality control and manufacturing, including the Klippel Lab, an acoustically insulated chamber designed specifically for detailed acoustic measurements and testing.
Areas dedicated to Finance, Marketing, Product Development, IT, Operations, Program Management, and Talent and Corporate Culture teams feature a mix of personal and community workstations with a large number of conference rooms, standing desks, and collaborative workspaces strategically located in common areas throughout the building.
