Argentina. The Galileo Galilei Planetarium, a cultural and scientific reference in Buenos Aires, has completed a technological transformation that positions its projections among the most advanced in Latin America.
The institution comprehensively modernized its internal and external projection systems with Barco solutions, elevating the visual experience of its visitors.
Barco Solutions Implemented
The upgrade includes six Barco I600-4K10 projectors for the 20-meter internal dome and two Barco QDX-W35 projectors for projections mapped on the building's façade. All equipment was supplied by WWT – Worldwide Trading, Barco's official distributor in Latin America.
"We were looking for technology that combined exceptional brightness and long-term reliability," says Claudio Creta, Technology Leader at the planetarium. "Barco's solutions exceeded our expectations, delivering truly impressive image quality."
Visible Results
With the I600-4K10 projectors, the dome projections are brightly shining and true colours, while the QDX-W35s transform the planetarium's façade into a high-impact evening spectacle with minimal maintenance.
This modernization, completely based on Barco technology, reinforces the planetarium's commitment to innovation, maintaining its mission to inspire new generations in the exploration of the cosmos.
