Mexico. In 1925, Sidney Shure decided to create and start operations of the Shure brand, then a manufacturer of radio components. The company has had a permanent growth that now celebrates its first centenary by offering the market audio developments that place the company as a leader in the professional and commercial markets.
In Mexico alone, Shure has a 42-year history, when it opened its first production plant outside the United States based in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, which operates today with excellent results.
This information was part of the celebration in Mexico of the company's first 100 years, which was attended by Shure brand executives, distributors, customers and staff at an event held in downtown Mexico City.
The celebration was attended by some of the firm's main executives, such as José Rivas, VP and CSO, as well as David Román, Sales Director for Latin America, kicking off the celebration with a message from Christine Schyvinck, CEO and President of Shure Incorporated:
"It wouldn't be 100 years without our loyal customer and worker base. We can only succeed when we listen and work together to solve problems. We don't know everything and we only learn when we spend time with you, understanding your needs and sharing our knowledge. Only by being together can we develop great solutions. We appreciate the time and knowledge you share with us. I've never felt more confident about the technological future."
For his part, David Román told AVI Latin America: "At Shure the only constant is change and in that change we want to innovate and grow. Always listen to customers and always come up with cutting-edge solutions for the needs of the industry and our customers. The only way to stay 100 years old is in constant innovation and that is what has been proposed to this day and we project the same for the next 100 years."
On the development and improvement of Shure's developments, he said: "The world is changing faster than ever before and will continue to change. Shure's constant is to always be connected to the market in all of our global markets. Latin America is very important to Shure and the only direction is always that."
And he added: "At Shure our proposal has always been to innovate and be ahead in the market with our solutions and technology. The contents themselves, the productions themselves are asking for different needs. Being an audio specialist means that and the world is one of collaboration. So our solutions span the full spectrum of the industry from a microphone standpoint, whether it's a solution or a residential podcast from a streamer who's just starting out or a live concert, a TV channel or a radio."
Regarding Shure's presence in the Latin American market, Román explained: "For Shure Latin America it has a very broad, dedicated and important focus. So it is a very interesting business and market for us and with a very direct presence. We operate in all 22 countries of Latin America, throughout the Caribbean."
The executives said that after Shure's first 100 years, the growth and development of the company and new products will be permanent.
