Colombia. A tour of 6 Colombian cities served for Yamaki to launch Shure's Axient Digital PSM system in Colombia, as well as to celebrate with local customers the manufacturer's 100th anniversary.
At its meeting in Medellín, AVI Latin America spoke with Edgar Rincón, Commercial Director of Yamaki, who said that this system was launched on the market in November of last year and aims to revolutionize the entire audio system worldwide.
"It's already revolutionizing it, because most of the great tours of the artists who are going around the world, they have it. Even we at the Estéreo Picnic Festival were fortunate enough to support Justin Timberlake and he already brought this system," he said.
Only a month ago the new system of the Shure professional line arrived in Colombia and, therefore, Yamaki did a training directly with the support engineers, for which they brought together users from Bogotá, Cali, Bucaramanga, Medellín, Pereira and Barranquilla.
In addition, these meetings were used to celebrate the manufacturer's 100th anniversary with local customers. In this regard, Edgar Rincón mentioned that "we are taking advantage of the fact that we can rarely have all the friends of the professional segment, which are artists, rental companies, broadcast, theater, auditoriums and Christian churches, to meet and share an already special night. Colombia cannot escape that celebration."
Finally, he highlighted the good moment that the professional segment is having in Colombia:
"It has been growing for many years and this year more so. There are more and more shows, more international artists, we are opening a new arena in Bogotá, we inaugurated it with Genesis Producciones with the Green Day concert. And we were providing the accompaniment and support for a new arena in Medellín, the Arena Primavera. We see that there is more and more call, more emerging artists coming out in all niches and segments. And the technical requirements have been raising the level. So that also requires better engineers, better lighting technicians, better audio technicians and, obviously, it also opens up a market for those artists who are emerging."
