Spain. PPDS, the exclusive supplier of Philips Professional Displays, installed a state-of-the-art Philips Urban LED screen at the training camp of the Ciudad Deportiva of the reigning La Liga and Copa del Rey champions.
In addition to FC Barcelona's commitment to installing advanced and sustainable technologies at its spectacular new Spotify Camp Nou stadium, of which Philips Professional Displays is the official digital display supplier, the Club also develops and implements the latest training methods and innovations, with an increasing emphasis on technology to stay on top.
Looking ahead to the 2025/2026 La Liga season, FC Barcelona looked for new opportunities to modernise Pitch 1, with the introduction of a state-of-the-art visualisation system offering new visual capabilities and detailed analysis from the touchline, for both the coaching staff and coaching staff.
Now known as Camp Tito Vilanova, Camp 1 is the official training area of the first team, with an 11-player pitch (105 x 68 metres), a 4,643 m² warm-up area and a 1,400-capacity grandstand.
To support its vision, the Club collaborated with PPDS, along with LED Dream, a local expert in LED integration, for the project. A 5.5 x 3 metre Philips Urban LED LED Series 7000 wall was installed, located just after the touchline, custom-designed to meet the club's needs both day and night.
More than a club
With 6000 nits of high brightness, the Philips Urban LED LED 7000 Series 7.9 pp wall was the perfect choice for this exciting project, able to withstand inclement weather and lighting in the Catalan capital, whether it is heavy rain, direct sunlight or glare. The 7000 Series is also IP66 certified, resistant to dust and corrosive salt spray from the nearby Mediterranean Sea.
Reflecting FC Barcelona's famous motto "Més que un Club", the Philips Urban LED Series 7000 (44HUL7039DP//00) is more than just a screen: it offers the coaching staff multiple live views of the action, as well as detailed real-time player analysis and instant review and replay functions.
The installation of the Philips Urban LED 7000 Series was completed efficiently and on time, with minimal disruption to the team's training program and seamless integration into the stadium's infrastructure.
