Colombia. On August 21 , the Colombian Association of Data Centers and Data Technology, ACOLDC, was officially launched, which represents a significant milestone in the development of Colombia's digital infrastructure. The association is led by Edwin Tello as president.
ACOLDC emerges as the first organization in the country dedicated to unifying and strengthening the data center industry, establishing itself as a cornerstone for Colombia's digital transformation. The partnership was launched with a comprehensive agenda focused on advancing the industry and technological innovation, with Vertiv bringing its expertise in critical digital infrastructure solutions.
Vertiv announced its participation as a Main Partner in the launch. "Part of our business strategy is to continue consolidating our operations in Colombia. We recently opened our integrated business services center in Bogota to strengthen our operations in Latin America. Now, with the Colombian Association of Data Centers, we will contribute with information aimed at developing our mission-critical industry, which is so essential for the economic and technological development of our region." Robson Pacheco, interim director of strategic accounts for Vertiv LATAM, said.
As a Main Partner, Vertiv will play a crucial role in ACOLDC's knowledge management and technology innovation initiatives starting in September 2025. The company will provide technical expertise and training programs to help advance the standards and best practices of Colombia's data center industry.
