New Ericsson business units in Latam

Latin America. As part of a global restructuring of the company, Ericsson Latin America and the Caribbean announces new Business Units for Network Products, Network Services, IT and the Cloud. 

The organizational and structural system of the Units aims to accelerate the execution of the strategy in the region, as well as reflect the way of working of the clients and increase the integral responsibility of the businesses. In addition, the new structure will provide support to reduce costs and improve efficiencies, including the elimination of existing duplications within product development.

Sergio Quiroga da Cunha, President of the Latin America and Caribbean Region, says: "This new organization will allow us to have a faster response to our customers, and we are confident that this new structure will increase business opportunities for both our customers and Ericsson."

Designations
Jan Karlsson, Vice President of IT and Cloud, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Karlsson joined Ericsson in July 2014 and is currently the Head of IT and Cloud in the Latin America and Caribbean (RLAM) region. Prior to this role, Karlsson was Director of OSS/BSS and Systems Integration and Consulting at Ericsson Latin America and the Caribbean. Karlsson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and has been with Ericsson for 10 years, in which he has held various positions in different countries, such as Sweden, Italy, Mexico and the United Kingdom.

Robert Pajos, Vice President of Network Services, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Pajos is responsible for the sale and delivery of services in the areas of Construction, Optimization, Support, Repair and Operation. He has held various senior positions within Ericsson, in the United States, Sweden, Colombia, Russia and Brazil, and holds an academic degree from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. Prior to this appointment, Pajos was the CTO at Ericsson Latin America and the Caribbean.

Eduardo Castañón, Vice President of Network Products, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Castañón has worked with Ericsson for 16 years, holding various positions in Mexico, Sweden, Guatemala, Brazil and Peru, where his main appointment was as Director of Networks for Brazil and Telefónica Latin America. Castañón studied Communications and Electronics Engineering in Mexico at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) and holds an academic degree in Administration from the School of Higher Commercial Studies (HEC) in France.
