Latin America. The European manufacturer Lightware took stock of the year that is ending, which it highlights as a year marked by new advances, solid collaboration and continuous growth.
Over the course of the year, Lightware launched nearly twenty new products, unlocked new 5K capabilities, expanded its integrations, expanded the Lightware Academy to more than 12,000 alumni, boosted sustainability programs, and opened new offices in Hong Kong and the Netherlands.
At ISE 2025, the Taurus Smart Dock was presented, a tool for seamless hybrid collaboration. This was followed by the presentation of the dual-screen Taurus, which offers users greater flexibility in multi-screen environments. The team also introduced 5K support to the MX2 matrix switches and Taurus family, capping off the year with the upgrade to the Taurus HC60, a modernized, future-proof platform that replaces the HC40 lineup.
Enhanced integrations with Microsoft, Cisco, and NETGEAR
In addition to product innovation, Lightware also strengthened its technology ecosystem. Its integration with Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) was expanded to include all major variants of Taurus universal matrix switches, helping organizations create more flexible and adaptable meeting spaces.
Interoperability with Cisco was expanded with two new options, and the company deepened its long-term collaboration with NETGEAR by combining both vendors' e-learning platforms, allowing thousands of AV professionals to easily access shared training materials.
Training the next generation of AV professionals
Lightware Academy reached new heights in 2025, with more than 12,000 alumni, including more than 4000 who joined this year alone. The Academy enables AV professionals from around the world to expand their technical knowledge through courses in HDMI, USB-C, AV over IP, room automation and system integration. Through online and face-to-face training, it empowers designers, integrators, and engineers with the practical skills needed for modern AV implementations.
Investing in a greener future
Lightware also boosted its ESG commitments and community initiatives. The organization hosted two Girls' Day events, held a workshop focused on the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), and encouraged its employees to take paid time off to support local volunteering initiatives. In terms of sustainability, the company continued its transition to paper-only packaging and celebrated a major milestone with the move of all departments to Lightware's new, environmentally conscious headquarters in the HOP Technology Office Park.
