Sony Introduces Two HD LCD Surgical Monitors

Latin America. Sony announced the launch of the LMD-2765MD and LMD-2760MD monitors, thinner, more compact and offering more brightness than other 26-inch surgical monitors on sale in the market.

The LMD-2765MD and LMD-2760MD reproduce Full HD quality color video images received from endoscopic and laparoscopic cameras or other compatible medical imaging systems, and are the only surgical monitors on the market equipped with OptiContrast. This technology reduces internal and external reflections to optimize image contrast and gives surgeons and staff superior visualization during operations.

Designed to optimize all types of operating rooms, the monitors incorporate an  edge-to-edge glass front design with a 27" screen, narrow edges, an aluminum cabinet, and a removable cable cover at the rear to hide connectors and arrange cables neatly. By design, these monitors can be easily cleaned with antiseptic cleaning solutions available in all shops.

The monitors can also be conveniently mounted on a robot arm or a medical cart. The front of the monitor is splash resistant and has IPX5 ingress protection rating, while the other sides are IPX2 rated, sufficient for protection and general cleaning.

The monitors have a backlit and intuitive control panel for touch operation. It offers an innovative feature that only illuminates selectable buttons, helping inexperienced users to modify parameters quickly and efficiently, and saving time and pressure in today's busy operating room environment.

Both monitors incorporate an advanced image processing technology called A.I.M.E., which can adjust the color and structure of the video image independently to provide real-time images based on the surgeon's preferences.
