Latin America. QSC and Shure announced a higher level of integration between Shure's Microflex Advance and Microflex Wireless microphones with the entire Q-SYS platform. As part of the alliance, new control plugins for Shure's MXA910 ceiling microphone array and Microflex wireless microphone systems will be launched.
The latest update of the Q-SYS Designer software, version v5.3, offers a large number of audio connectivity options, among others, the integration of audio through Dante, analog audio, as well as the AES67 standard. With the addition of a detailed quick start guide to integrate audio and control between Shure and QSC systems, simplicity in setup and adjustment is guaranteed.
The Shure MXA910 control plug-in, developed jointly by QSC and Shure, allows you to run a variety of control functions, retrieval of default settings and audio monitoring on the MXA910 from the Q-SYS platform, using peripherals and touch controllers of that brand.
Because the MXA910's control plugin is decoupled from the audio integration method on the Q-SYS platform, the integrator can use the plugin to control and at the same time can choose between different audio transport methods, either via analog audio using Shure's ANI series, Q-SYS Dante network audio interconnect card, or the series' newly incorporated AES67 support. of Q-SYS Core processors.
By using AES67 as an audio integration method, each Q-SYS Core processor on the platform can be easily integrated with the MXA910 without networking devices or additional software licenses. One such processor, the prominent Q-SYS Core 110f, offers the most economical combination of DSP (digital signal processor), AV integration, and control with its 16 AEC (acoustic echo cancellation) channels, accommodating up to two MXA910s in a single rack unit over a single network connection.
The configuration guide, developed jointly by QSC and Shure, provides step-by-step instructions on how to integrate the MXA910 with the Q-SYS platform using AES67 for network audio streaming and the built-in plugin to control and monitor the MXA910 from the Q-SYS platform.
The Shure MXA configuration guide and control plugin will be available when the new version 5.3 of the Q-SYS Designer software is released.
