Colombia. In an industry where automation and the integration of audiovisual systems are becoming increasingly relevant, specialized training has become a key factor for the development of successful projects.
With this vision, Avcom, together with its allied brand Kramer, carried out the first official certification at Kramer Control, reaffirming our commitment to the training of our integrators in Colombia.
The training was led by Edgar Guerrero, Customer Service Engineer for Latin America at Kramer, who traveled from Mexico to share technical knowledge, programming methodologies and experiences gained in integration projects throughout the region.
Training oriented to real projects
The training was designed so that attendees not only got to know the Kramer Control platform, but also gained the confidence to develop projects from scratch.
During day one, the fundamentals of programming, project creation, interface design and device integration using protocols such as IR, RS-232, LAN/IP and Relay, used daily in professional audiovisual installations, were addressed.
Day two focused on advanced features and situations that integrators face in the field. Among the topics highlighted were the programming of Room Combiner for divisible rooms, the implementation of visual indicators in the interfaces and the configuration of feedback systems, which allow the status of the equipment to be visualized in real time, even when they are physically operated from another point in the facility.
Internship with Kramer solutions
One of the most valuable aspects of the certification was its hands-on approach. Attendees worked with equipment from Kramer's portfolio, including KC Virtual Brain 1 and 5 processors, FC-28 gateways, PA-240Z amplifier, DMV-4X multiview, K-Cam 4K PTZ camera, and audio solutions for corporate applications.
This combination made it possible to recreate real integration scenarios, making it easier for participants to understand how to develop complete control solutions for meeting rooms, auditoriums and other collaborative spaces.
To close the certification, attendees took a practical exam designed to simulate the conditions of a real project, testing their knowledge under delivery times similar to those faced by integrators during the implementation of an installation.
Avcom drives AV ecosystem growth
In addition to coordinating the logistics of the conferences held in Bogotá and Medellín, Avcom provided a learning environment where attendees could interact with Kramer specialists and delve into the development of control solutions for real applications.
