Village Cines Recoleta, first in Argentina with Vive Audio

Argentina. Christie announced that Room 6 of Village Cines Recoleta is the first cinema in Argentina to install the innovative Christie Vive Audio technology, the only linear matrix speaker solution built especially for the film industry. Room 6 of Village Cines Recoleta also features innovative Dolby Atmos sound technology to provide the ultimate cinematic experience.

With twenty years of experience in the Argentine market, Village Cines currently has eight complexes throughout the country with a total of 79 screens and recently completed the final phase of its digital cinema deployment with projectors of the Christie Solaria Series. The company has a solid reputation for always being at the forefront of introducing technological innovations to the Argentine market.

Christie Vive Audio components installed in Room 6 of Village Recoleta include LA3 and S215 display channel speakers, LA3S wall surround speakers, LA3C ceiling wraparound speakers, as well as a variety of Class D CDA amplifiers. The end result is a highly immersive cinema sound famous for its exceptional power and performance.

Located in the heart of Recoleta, the most glamorous area of Buenos Aires, the Village Recoleta multiplex currently has 10 screens. Room 6 has 223 seats and a screen of 12.5 x 5.32 meters, being the preferred place for premieres and gala screenings in the capital of Argentina. It is also the main auditorium to carry out the screening of films and presentations during VISTA, the Regional Convention of the Film Industry in Latin America.

"Village Cines is always at the forefront of new cinematographic technologies. We want our customers to live a unique experience when visiting our movie theaters and we know that Vive Audio maximizes that possibility with its clear and precise sound, being the perfect complement to Dolby Atmos," said Diego Bachiller, commercial manager of Village Cines.

"We are proud that Village Cines selected the Christie Vive Audio solution to make Village Recoleta a superior destination for entertainment, providing movie buffs with a real-life audio experience across all movie seats," said Patrick Artiaga, Director of Business Development for Christie's Audio division. "The addition of Christie Vive Audio will create Argentina's most advanced cinema sound experience for Village Cines audiences."

Juan Carlos Chávez, director of Christie in Latin America, added: "It is an honor that Village Cines has chosen Christie Vive Audio to be installed in its iconic multiplex in Buenos Aires. The combination of Christie Vive and Dolby Atmos heralds a new era in superior cinema sound that will give Village Recoleta a true competitive edge in the marketplace, ensuring its audience enjoys the ultimate cinema experience."

Christie Vive Audio delivers a hyper-precise audio experience, unleashing the full dynamic range of DCI digital cinema audio and being compatible with the leading immersive surround sound formats on the market. The complete solution features screen, wall and ceiling surround sound channel speakers that use ribbon driver technology in a single-box linear matrix design, built especially for cinema environments. The Christie Vive Audio system continues to establish its global reputation as the next standard in immersive sound for cinema.
