Colombia. With an outstanding face-to-face and virtual call, the official launch of the Building Automation Summit 2026 (BAS 2026), a strategic event for the building automation ecosystem in Latin America, was held.
The meeting took place at the Bihao – Cocina Colombiana restaurant, in Medellín, and was broadcast live through YouTube and LinkedIn, consolidating its hybrid and regional character.
Organized by Latin Press, Inc., a publishing and events company specializing in B2B technical media for Latin America, the event brought together representatives of leading companies, specialized media and key players in the automation, sustainable construction and digital transformation sector.
The day included:
● Keynote speech by Lucas Valencia, CEO of Ultimate Technology, entitled "Intelligent operation defines the value of the asset. Automation as a business", where success stories in energy efficiency and digitalisation of buildings were presented.
● Official presentation of BAS 2026, by Kristel Osorio and Víctor Alarcón, highlighting the thematic axes of the next cycle: efficiency, sustainability and integration.
● Presentation of the CALA Awards, recognizing excellence in lighting in the region, with symbolic ceremony and audiovisual recording.
The event closed with a networking space, thanks to sponsors and allies, and an open invitation to join BAS 2026.
