Mexico. Epson Mexico reaffirmed its commitment to the environment through a strategic alliance with Reforestamos México A.C., an organization dedicated to the conservation of ecosystems in the country.
As part of this effort, Epson adopted one hectare of forest in the Nevado de Toluca and organized a corporate volunteer day in which its business partners and collaborators participated in the planting of more than a thousand trees.
This action is part of a long-term program aimed at generating environmental awareness, promoting local sources of employment and contributing to the preservation of biodiversity in priority areas of the State of Mexico.
A volunteering experience with real impact
The conference brought together Epson's business partners and collaborators to actively join the recovery of the forest ecosystem. With the technical support of Reforestamos Mexico, more than a thousand trees were planted in an area in the process of restoration, strengthening the soils and creating habitats for local species.
Roberto Donoso, Director of Commercial Product Sales and Marketing, North Region – Epson America, Inc., commented: "At Epson we believe that technology must go hand in hand with sustainability. Our alliance with Reforestamos Mexico seeks to transcend time, not only with the planting of trees, but also with the generation of jobs and the conservation of biodiversity. This is another step in our commitment to a greener future."
