Colombia. With more than 100 attendees and the participation of 6 prominent exhibitors, Building Automation Days by KNX LATAM, Colombia 2025 edition positioned itself as the most representative and ambitious meeting of the KNX ecosystem in Latin America since its inception.
The conference brought together architecture, engineering and automation professionals in a space for technical and commercial dialogue that brought to the fore the trends, solutions and opportunities that are transforming the smart building industry.
From presentations on sustainability and energy efficiency to interoperability demonstrations, the program offered high-level content and networking opportunities with leading companies in the sector.
During this day, attendees had access to high-level technical content, along with spaces designed for strategic relations and high-value networking.
Representatives of the National Government, members of the Colombian National Police, managers, installers and entrepreneurs interested in expanding their business lines from AV, electronic security, HVAC to automation and home automation participated.
The event not only offered specialized knowledge, but also key moments for human and commercial connection, such as the business lunch and a coffee break that allowed attendees to generate new alliances, share projects and connect with key players in the sector.
In the academic component, the workshop on updating the KNX ETS software given by Carlos Castro, CEO of the Sayros Group and KNX Partner, was highlighted. The day also included presentations of:
● Juan Palomino, President of the KNX Colombia National Group, who offered a comparative view of KNX compared to other standards, highlighting its structural and interoperability advantages.
● Luis Fernando Mulcue, PhD, solar scientist, focused on the integration of photovoltaic energy with KNX, promoting sustainable models from design.
● Esteban Martínez, COO and co-founder of Green Loop, who delved into green buildings and the high return on investment offered by sustainable constructions.
● Alejandra Casilimas and David Ricardo González, coordinators of Double C by Conconcreto, who presented real projects in Colombia that transform the use of water and energy, offering a tangible vision of what is already possible in the country.
● Sandra Mariño and Pablo Ossa, Zennio's sales representatives, in charge of closing the cycle, presenting products at the forefront of KNX automation, especially designed for hotels and smart homes.
With this unprecedented call, Building Automation Days by KNX LATAM, Colombia edition consolidates itself as a comprehensive platform to promote building automation, foster strategic links and update key knowledge for industry leaders in Latin America.
This event marks a before and after in the way building automation is promoted in the region, consolidating Colombia as a key node in the adoption of KNX technologies.
Finally, Víctor Alarcón and Kristel Osorio officially launched the Latin America Building Automation Summit 2026, a Congress to be held on November 11 and 12, 2026 in Medellín, Colombia. The KNX LATAM Summit will be held there and an exclusive room will be opened to talk about automation in general.
