International. Christie's multimedia projection and playback solutions are powering the new exhibition Xpark meets NAKED Ocean of Light: Immersive Ocean, at the Xpark Aquarium in Taipei, Taiwan.
Created by the Japanese creative firm NAKED, INC., the exhibition opened its doors to the public on June 28 as part of the celebrations of the aquarium's fifth anniversary.
The exhibition, powered by 22 Christie 1DLP laser projectors and content management solutions, offers a multi-sensory journey where real marine life is combined with the digital art of the NAKED OCEAN series, transforming the ocean into a living canvas that invites contemplation and wonder. Immersive projections, interactive experiences and a careful visual narrative make up this proposal that unites nature, creativity and technology.
The projection design and integration of the AV system were carried out by Christie's trusted partner Dacoms Technology. The deployment includes 15 Christie 1DLP laser projectors, including models from the Inspire DWU960ST-iS series with short-throw and zoom lenses, as well as projectors from the GS DWU880-GS Series, as well as six Pandoras Box servers for real-time playback and content processing.
One of the most outstanding elements are the large-format projections on curved walls, which immerse the visitor in vibrant marine scenarios, full of light, sound and movement. With this new installation, Christie expands its presence in Xpark, where more than 60 Christie projectors including GS and Captiva models and 20 Pandoras Box, Compact Players and Widget Designer servers have already been deployed since the opening of the aquarium.
Ocean of Light: Immersive Ocean marks the first major collaboration between Xpark and NAKED, INC., following the success of the temporary Xpark Sea of Light Jellyfish by NAKED, INC. in January 2025. This second stage involves a renovation of almost 70% of the aquarium's interior areas, with digital installations designed to maximise interaction and impact.
