Shure microphones supported the Viña del Mar Festival 2025

Micrófonos Shure apoyaron Festival Viña del Mar 2025

Chile. The LXIV edition of the Viña del Mar Festival, held from February 23 to March 1, was broadcast live worldwide for the first time to more than 5 million viewers. To ensure exceptional performances for both audiences and artists, the Festival relied on the Shure Axient digital wireless system.

With an impressive cast of artists, the Viña del Mar festival concluded another edition where the quality of the audio was crucial. The technical team had 70 channels of Axient Digital technology, 62 channels of the PSM 1000 advanced in-ear personal monitoring system, and four channels of the Axient Digital PSM advanced in-ear monitoring system, among other Shure equipment.

Thanks to their robustness and reliability, Axient Digital and PSM delivered superior audio and robust RF throughout the festival, despite the challenging technical environment.

Marc Anthony inaugurated the LXIV edition with an ADX2 handheld microphone with BETA 58 capsule. It also relied on Shure's new in-ear digital monitoring solution, Axient Digital PSM. Jimmy Ibanez, Marc Anthony's sound engineer, commented:

"My experience with Axient Digital PSM has been incredible. From day one I was absolutely impressed. My mix has improved a lot. I was able to maintain the digital transmission via Dante from my console to the unit. The sound is extremely transparent and clean. The stage was completely surrounded by video walls, but I immediately felt the difference in RF transmission. There were no interruptions with the RF signal, so it was amazing."

Sebastián Yatra relied on Shure Axient Digital, with 70 body units for the equipment and 1000 PSM in-ear units for personal monitoring. Alongside him, Morat relied on ADX2 handheld microphones and the iconic SM58 capsule.

Hosts Rafael Araneda and Karen Doggenweiler also used Shure wireless microphones, with a KSM11 nickel capsule on stage and a black KSM9 capsule for backstage interviews. Both capsules were paired with Shure ADX2 handheld wireless transmitters.

The Golden Seagull Award-winning Ha*Ash duo of sisters Hanna and Ashley performed with two custom gold Shure ADX2 handheld microphones, an SM58 capsule, and the PSM 1000 advanced in-ear monitoring system.

Other artists such as Bacilos, Miriam Hernándezcccc, The Cult, Duki and Kidd Voodo also relied on Shure Axient Digital. The same goes for Incubus, which also used Axient Digital PSM during its presentation at Viña del Mar 2025.

"Supporting a show like Viña del Mar is a great honor. It allows us to work closely with artists and their engineers and help them optimize Shure solutions. By being present, we show them what Shure wireless technology is capable of, resulting in creative and extraordinary presentations that audiences and artists alike enjoy to the fullest," said Ruben Alvarez, Senior Market Development Specialist at Shure.
