Colombia. The District Administration of Medellín opened the call for Medellín Music Lab, a program that seeks to train 400 young people between the ages of 14 and 28 in different areas of the music industry.
In previous editions, the winners entered an artistic incubation program, designed to strengthen their projection in the music industry. Currently, this process is boosting their careers through professional recordings, video clip production and participation in high-impact events, providing them with tools and visibility to consolidate themselves in the sector.
"At Medellín Music Lab, we support emerging talent and we want young people to be part of this history. We open a call to train talents in different roles: artists, composers, producers, managers, audiovisuals, among others. They will receive specialized training, with everything they need to know to make their way in the music industry," invited the mayor of Medellín, Federico Gutiérrez Zuluaga.
Interested young people can obtain more information on medellinmusiclab.medellinjoven.com and on the social networks of the Youth Secretariat: @juventudmed on Instagram and TikTok.
Mariana Gutiérrez, winner in the role of legal manager of the first cohort, said: "Medellín Music Lab is a space for expansion, both for artists and for associated roles, where we acquire knowledge and tools to know how the industry works, how it moves and, ultimately, to realize the dream that almost all of us have of being able to make a living from art."
The process will close on April 15 and those interested can register through https://musiclab.medellinjoven.com/ In this way, the city continues to consolidate itself as a creative and entertainment capital, in which the emerging talent of the local music industry is strengthened and made visible.
