Acuerdo impulsa certificación en centros de datos en México

Mexico. The Mexican Association of Data Centers, MEXDC, and the Mexican Association of Companies in the Construction Facilities Industry, AMERIC, signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of establishing a joint framework for the generation of competitive conditions in the Data Center industry in Mexico and its ecosystem.

This agreement will allow the development and execution of training strategies, promote the activities of both institutions and ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards.

The agreement will not only have a positive impact on the productivity of both organizations, but will also generate quality jobs and improve the performance of professionals in the sector.

Adriana Rivera, executive director of the Mexican Association of Data Centers, welcomed her new ally and thanked the associates of both institutions. He was also optimistic about the opportunities for the Data Center sector in the country, stating that in 2025 Mexico is on the right path to growth in the industry and support for digitalization.

"This alliance, which we have pursued for more than a year, arises from the identification of common objectives between both associations. We decided to join forces and move together towards excellence, consolidating a robust value chain for the Data Center industry in Mexico by strengthening ourselves with the vast experience of more than 50 years of AMERIC and with the collaboration of all our joint partners. At MEXDC we are convinced that collaboration is essential for growth and the fulfillment of our objectives. This alliance with AMERIC, an organization with a successful and consolidated track record in Mexico, is a strategic step for the strengthening of our industry," he concluded.

Ernesto Díaz, national president of the Mexican Association of Companies in the Construction Installations Industry, shared that AMERIC is an organization made up of a group of professional contractors dedicated to everything related to energy, air conditioning, liquids and gases, and special ICT systems in large works and projects in Mexico and commented: "There are many large-scale Data Center projects in the country and therefore we seek to join forces with the MEXDC for the professionalization of contractors in the sector, through certified training in competency standards in different disciplines."

"If we want Mexico to be recognized as a first world country, to have the best projects and to do the best works, we must be prepared for it. We need professional and trained companies, and AMERIC is committed to the professionalization and certification of contractors. I thank the MEXDC for their trust and for making this happen; it is a very great satisfaction for AMERIC and its board of directors," he concluded.

This agreement is in addition to a series of strategic alliances that MEXDC has established nearly two years after its foundation, consolidating its position as a benchmark in the Data Center industry in Mexico.
.
Collaboration with government entities and national and international associations has been key to driving sustainable growth and innovation in the sector. With this new agreement, MEXDC and AMERIC reaffirm their commitment to work together to strengthen competitiveness and digitalization in Mexico, creating a more prosperous and connected future for all.
