Latin America. Shure introduced its new WL18Xm low-profile professional lavalier condenser microphones, including the WL185m cardioid, WL184m supercardioid, and WL183m omnidirectional, for use with wireless bodypack transmitters.
The refreshed lineup was inspired by the legacy and performance of Shure's current WL lavalier microphone technology, which delivers full, accurate sound quality with enhanced presence response. The WL18Xm line offers enhanced specifications for optimal compatibility with modern wireless systems and is designed specifically for voice and presentation applications in corporate, educational, and church environments.
"Our WL series has been the preferred lapel solution for decades, known for its reliability, durability, and full, accurate sound. As wireless technology continues to improve, we saw an opportunity to innovate and evolve the industry-standard WL line into a product that meets the requirements of today's modern digital professionals," said Nick Wood, senior product manager for professional audio at Shure.
The WL18Xm line is 8mm smaller than its predecessor, making it lighter, lower profile, and easier to use. For flexible placement on speakers, presenters, and artists, each lavalier microphone is available in black or white, with two LEMO or TA4F connector options. The innovative microphone clip clip can rotate to 90° for precise placement.
