International. Ushio Inc., Christie's parent company, has appointed Takabumi Asahi as CEO of Christie Digital Systems USA, Inc.
Asahi, whose appointment is effective April 1, 2024, succeeds Koji Naito. He previously served as CEO and CFO of Ushio. Since joining Ushio in 2017 as Deputy General Manager, his responsibilities at the company have continued to grow. Prior to that date, he worked for Oki Electric Industry, a Japanese information and communications company, where Asahi gained experience in global business management in a number of high-tech fields, including semiconductors, information technology and telecommunications, and office automation. Christie's new CEO holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Chiba University, Japan.
Asahi brings to his new role thirty years of experience as a senior executive and a commitment to advancing Ushio's mission to promote the use of lighting and energy to increase human well-being and social growth through technology.
