BGH enters the LED luminaire market

Argentina. BGH enters the Argentine LED lighting market with high efficiency and low consumption solutions for public, industrial, commercial and residential lighting. "The design, efficiency and technology of our products will position us in the highest international standards in the sector," said Sebastian Moure, director of BGH Eco Smart.

Electricity consumption for lighting represents more than 20% of total electricity consumption worldwide. According to data from the Wildlife Foundation -a civil entity that works on the solution of the main environmental problems of Argentina-, if actions are not taken to improve the energy efficiency of this sector, the global consumption of energy dedicated to lighting will increase by 60% by 2030.

LED lighting technology is considered one of the most effective solutions to achieve optimal energy efficiency due to its lower consumption, low maintenance cost, greater light power and service life. In addition, it contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, making it more environmentally friendly.

Scientific studies allow us to determine that the use of LEDs in lighting allows to achieve, on average, an energy saving of 50% in public lighting with respect to conventional lighting, while for shops and homes you can save up to 80%.

In this scenario, "BGH Eco Smart allows us to look to the future and start visualizing the energy needs of tomorrow," Moure said. "Through the entry into the Led luminaires business, BGH intends to collaborate with the improvement of the energy matrix and, through savings, favor the supply of the energy required for the economic development of the country; and diversify the energy balance, with increasing participation of more efficient energy sources and consumption," he added.

BGH LED Products
The LED products offered by BGH have been developed through strategic alliances with LedScene, an engineering company that has been innovating for more than 10 years in Argentina with LED technology, and international references. In addition, they are certified by the National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI); PLAE, from the Undersecretariat of Energy Saving and Efficiency; CIC, from the acoustics and lighting laboratory of La Plata; and ISO9001 standards.
