He established his architecture studio in 1979 in London. In the 1980s he taught at the Architectural Association.

Zaha Hadid's work:

Hadid's work stands out for its uniqueness and its strong proposal. Their search is oriented towards obtaining constructive strategies, to the renewal of existing codes.

This architect uses her own visual code representing plastic objects, in changing and reversible positions. His style is subscribed to intuition, which he considers a sum between rationalism and experience. Hadid argues that an architect must be able to operate between logic and intuition. It downplays the importance of forms, giving priority to spaces that are the generators and are imposed in the face of international aspects.

Most of the work of this architect is conceptual, but has numerous built projects, among which are:

• Vitra Fire Station (1993). Weil am Rheim, Germany.
• Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art (1998). Cincinnati, Ohio.
• Hoenheim-North Terminus & Parking (2001). Strasbourg, France.
• Bergisel ski jumping platform (2002). Innsbruck, Austria.
• Annex Ordrupgârd (2005). Copenhagen, Denmark.
• Phâno Science Center (2005). Wolfsburg, Germany.
• BMW Centre (2005). Leipzig, Germany.
• General Plan of Zorrozaurre (2006). Bilbao, Spain.

She has received numerous awards such as the Pritzker Prize in 2004, being the first woman to receive it. He also received the Order of the British Empire for services to architecture. In 2003 he received the Mies van der Rohe Prize for Contemporary Architecture. In 2009 the Praemium Impriale of Japan.
