The HD-AUD-IO is an all-in-one HDMI audio manager capable of descaling and embedding audio into an HDMI video signal, while also enabling advanced EDID management and the ability to create an audio-only HDMI output.
The audio built into the HDMI input is extracted and available as analog or multi-channel digital SPDIF (TOSLINK) and you can select which audio to embed in the HDMI output. It can be the same as the original audio from HDMI (pass-thru), digital SPDIF or analog L/R 3.5mm.
This solution is suitable for environments where audio must be transmitted apart from video in places such as sports bars, places of worship, retail stores and other similar situations. Since the product can extract and integrate audio at the same time, with the use of an external mixer, users can mix auxiliary audio (for example, from a microphone) with the audio of the original HDMI program.
The equipment offers a video bandwidth of 18 Gbps and supports resolutions of up to 4K at 60 Hz 4:4:4 with HDR. It supports HDCP 2.2 as well as HDCP 1.4.
