Mexico. The Main Hall of the Palace of Fine Arts of the Mexican capital concluded the remodeling work of its facilities and received the visit of three legislators belonging to the Culture Commission of the Chamber of Deputies of this country, who listened to the explanations and arguments of the group of people in charge of the remodeling of the building that included novelties in the audio systems, video and lighting.As described by the group of experts, including set designer Alejandro Luna, designer Itzel Alba, sound engineer Cristian Escurría and architect Claudio Gantos, the intervention, which cost more than US$57 million, began with the equipment of the stage with scenic technology, audio, lighting and video, in addition to installing recording systems, supertitling and the expansion of the pit for musicians.
In addition, new wood was installed in the floor and doors, and an isoptic correction with seating arrangement, eliminating the inclination of the stage resulting in an increase in the lunette area, as well as the incorporation of an outdoor architectural lighting system.
