New network video management system from Sony

Latin America. Sony's new network video management system offers professionals a flexible and customizable solution for content management, storage and analysis. This system, which includes the HAW-E and HAW-S series of network video recorders (NVRs) and the SOW-E and SOW-S series of server-based video management software, has been designed for a wide range of commercial video capture applications, such as urban surveillance and in the transport sectors, financial services and education.

The VMS supports a variety of IP camera formats, including the latest 4K technologies, thanks to the unique features offered by Sony's networked 4K cameras. The addition of 4K-compatible recording and content management solution reinforces Sony's leading position in the 4K format and enables a comprehensive 4K solution (from lens to display), while maintaining the flexibility to meet the needs of different markets and budgets.

4K image capture is now combined with 4K recording, allowing users to take full advantage of the precise data offered by high 4K resolution in order to improve their situational awareness and detail detection capability.

"The new VMS platform offers the missing link in the 4K workflow," explains Roger Lawrence, Head of Video Surveillance Products at Sony Europe. "With support for a wide range of existing camera systems, as well as fully integrated 4K support that meets the growing demand for higher resolution, Sony provides a comprehensive 4K solution for customers employing our advanced imaging technology."
