Mexico. Next March, Tecnológico de Monterrey will begin to teach a course on lighting design and sustainability, through which the foundations for the practice of sustainable lighting design will be laid. Participants will be able to know the basic terminology of lighting, light sources, luminaires and methods to be used.
You will explore the value of sustainable lighting design and focus on the convenience and responsibility of using light as an ecological strategy to help achieve the desired balance in harmony with the environment. You will have hands-on activities that will allow participants to explore and experience the characteristics of light.
According to its organizers, the benefits for those who attend the course will be: tools and skills to be able to develop a sustainable lighting design; understand the new level of responsibility and motivate openness to new forms of interaction between professionals that lead to the development of a culture of sustainability; and envision sustainability as a new source of opportunity.
The course is aimed at architects, interior designers, electrical engineers, designers in general who wish to know the process of sustainable lighting design. As a requirement to study it, the TEC of Monterrey requires having the Bachelor's Degree completed.
