Growing demand for "how to" audiovisual content

Education is one of the fundamental segments for the AV industry, as it is also one of its best customers. This trend is far from over and outside the universities it is the customers of the common who are resorting to "how to" content (something like do it yourself) to solve their training needs in areas as diverse as culinary, musical training and even make up .

And precisely to meet the demand of this type of users is that Mixplay (www.mixplay.tv), the portal developed by Claxson for the distribution of multimedia content, has developed 360º productions designed, produced and edited to be distributed on the three screens: Broadband and Internet, Video On Demand and mobile TV.

It is important to remember that this firm offers its own productions such as guitar clinics, makeup techniques, drawing courses, personal training sequence, video horoscope, video tarot, stories, magic tricks and experiments for children and young people, among others.

These are short videos (from five to seven minutes), which allow users to get the information they are looking for at a certain time, from the comfort of their home or the place they choose. The contents "how to" explain techniques or provide new knowledge and offer the possibility of learning or obtaining a differential value, they are the most consulted by users.

As reported in several news channels, Patricia Tomasini, marketing and content manager of Mixplay, said that: "the Spanish-speaking user increased the consumption of multimedia content of professional production, both on the Internet and in new Digital TV and Mobile TV devices. Mixplay's audiovisual productions are developed in formats compatible with new media, complemented by the new way of conceiving entertainment and the need to shorten times to solve various issues or obtain some type of information."
