Mexico. At the national level, until March of this year, the National Association of Self-Service and Department Stores (ANTAD) estimated sales of 130,700 million pesos in the retail sector. Registering an overall growth in the total number of stores of 2.9% between January and March 2025.
Both in Mexico and worldwide, physical points of sale have undergone different adaptations due to technological evolution and changes in the way people consume. The progress of automation and digitization of sales processes changed the acquisition and purchase process, migrating to a more digital environment, however, the physical point of sale continues to be a crucial component in the distribution and marketing chain of products and services.
"Derived from the need to implement new mechanisms for correct sales control, technological innovation plays a fundamental role. Today, the incorporation of the use of artificial intelligence allows companies to automatically detect opportunities in the operation, providing accurate and actionable recommendations," said Sergio Della Maggiora, CEO of Teamcore.
Artificial intelligence is a strategic ally that is revolutionizing the way brands monitor and manage their points of sale, monitoring the growth and performance of each one in real time without depending on physical, constant visits or manual reports. Some elements that AI allows to be identified in a timely manner are:
● Product stock.
● Execution failures and correction suggestions.
● Execution of automated tasks prioritized by impact.
"Sustained growth starts with flawless execution. Transforming the complexity of retail into a smart, efficient and results-focused operation is the vision for which we work every day at Teamcore to continue driving the value of physical purchases at the point of sale," concluded Sergio Della Maggiora.
