Latin America. Lightware Visual Engineering has begun implementing paper-only packaging for its flagship products, marking another important step in its commitment to reducing environmental impact across the company.
The more compact, paper-only packaging will be used for Taurus UCX, Taurus TPX, Taurus TPN, OPTX and OPTN products, and the first batches are already being distributed to customers. This biodegradable and recyclable alternative offers numerous environmental benefits, while ensuring robust product protection.
Old packaging from these product categories will be used first to avoid unnecessary waste. However, paper will soon be used more in deliveries of these items. The size and shape of orders will continue to determine the packaging materials used, while shipments containing other products in the same order will receive mixed materials. Due to the new box size, the outer shipping boxes will also change accordingly.
The switch to paper packaging is the next phase of Lightware's ESG strategy and is part of the company's ongoing commitment to prevent and minimize pollution from manufacturing, packaging, and day-to-day operations. Lightware is constantly looking for new and innovative ways to be greener, regularly evaluating and refining its energy consumption and waste management. Lightware products themselves are also manufactured with sustainability in mind. The Taurus UCX, for example, is made of high-quality, durable materials that last longer, reducing the need for frequent replacements and decreasing e-waste.
All design and manufacturing of Lightware products are carried out at a headquarters in Budapest, Hungary, which significantly reduces its carbon footprint in transportation. Outbound shipments are also consolidated to save fuel. The addition of paper-only packaging further reduces shipping costs and carbon emissions, ensuring that Lightware's supply chain is greener than ever.
These efforts help Lightware stand out as a manufacturer, especially in today's market, where many AV projects are subject to strict sustainability goals.
