Colombia. For the Spanish manufacturer DAS Audio, 2025 has been an important year in the Colombian market. This is because the first Lara system in the country and the first Mara system present in Latin America arrived, with which they were able to bring the sound of the Rock al Parque festival that took place in Bogotá, hand in hand with the company Stage Entertainment.
AVI Latin America spoke with Leandro Arguello during his visit to several Colombian cities. He has just assumed a new position within DAS Audio as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Latin America.
He pointed out that "Since the middle of the year there has been a readjustment in terms of my position for Latin America. It is a strategic position in terms of the level of responsibility for the entire management of the Das Audio Brazil subsidiary and our distributors in Latin America. And very happy now because after a long time I have traveled again. I am passing through Colombia visiting Bogotá, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Cali and Medellín, to continue bringing the experience of Das Audio".
Regarding the Colombian market, he stressed that many things happened in recent months, including an excellent negotiation with the company Stage Entertainment of Bogotá, who acquired the first Lara system in Colombia, the first Mara system in Latin America, with which they made the Rock al Parque edition number 29 in Bogotá
"This participation was a source of pride, because it leads to a historical relationship with Colombia of many years, of 30 years or more, but it was the first time that we have managed to carry out a Rock al Parque. And in this case we did it with ARA Series in the main box and also with Aero 50 on stage 2. In total of ARA Series there were more than 150 boxes of the system that sounded more than 250 thousand people in three days," he added.
Another novelty in Colombia for DAS Audio is to have a new distributor, Gómez Naranjo, who is based in Barranquilla, and since April has been the company in charge of developing the local market together with the operations manager for Das Audio Colombia, David Casallas.
"From the first interaction and relationship at NAMM 2025, we began to talk about what we expect as a company for the Colombian market. It was not very difficult to choose them, Gómez Naranjo is a company with many years in the country, it was also looking to create a commercial alliance with a brand of international prominence. We reached a very simple agreement, we both want the same thing, prominence of the brand, we want to give close support, we want to bring the best sound reference, technology and stock availability in Barraquilla, as well as in its store in Bogotá," added Leandro Arguello.
He concluded that "I think this is going to be a very relevant year, without a doubt it will be the historical framework. Having completed the Ara family in Colombia, with Lara, Mara, we already had Ara, especially in Medellín, with Arte Sonido and with Andromeda. We have done a few more festivals in Bogotá and we have other festivals coming up. So, you're going to be talking more and listening to more of DAS Audio. Without a doubt, I believe that this year Colombia and DAS Audio are going to have a record year in terms of results and events in Colombia."
