Latin America. The European LED display manufacturer, Alfalite, has obtained the NCAGE (NATO Commercial and Government Entity) code and the TAA (Trade Agreements Act) compliance certification, two important accreditations that mark a new milestone in its international expansion strategy.
These recognitions allow the company to participate in public procurement and defence processes in both NATO member countries and the United States, where a high level of regulatory compliance and traceability is required.
With both certifications, Alfalite joins a very small group of LED display manufacturers worldwide that meet the requirements of the most demanding environments.
The NCAGE code, issued within the NATO Coding System, officially recognizes Alfalite as an authorized supplier in the NATO Acquisition and Support Agency (NSPA) database. This accreditation allows the company to participate in strategic and high-security projects in the defense, security and public institutions sectors of allied countries.
"NCAGE certification is a strategic lever that allows us to operate in the global ecosystem of government and defense procurement," said Luis Garrido, CEO of Alfalite. "It demonstrates that our LED solutions meet the highest standards of quality, reliability and safety for use in critical environments."
At the same time, Alfalite has achieved compliance with the TAA, a U.S. federal regulation that has regulated international trade agreements since 1979. This accreditation is key for companies that want to supply products to the U.S. government, especially under contracts managed through the General Services Administration (GSA).
Specifically, TAA regulations require that products be manufactured or substantially transformed in the United States or in a country that has signed up to the agreement. Spain, as a member of the European Union and a signatory to the WTO Agreement on Government Procurement (GPA), is one of the designated countries. Therefore, Alfalite products manufactured entirely in Spain are fully eligible for U.S. federal contracts that require this compliance.
This condition is reinforced by the company's Spanish Certificate of Origin, which guarantees the place of manufacture and is essential to determine tariffs, import conditions and access to international trade agreements.
"Full traceability and 100% national production are part of our DNA. This not only allows us to comply with international regulations such as TAA, but also to guarantee quality at each stage, reduce our environmental footprint and contribute to local economic development, Garrido added.
These certifications also consolidate Alfalite's position as a reference supplier in corporate environments, control rooms and security operations centres (SOCs), where its LED screens are already operational in many cases confidentially in key facilities of the Ministries of Defence and Interior, military command centres, institutions of the Royal Household, etc. large telecommunications operators and international news agencies.
