Import restriction affects Argentina

gabriela molina, proyecciones digitales

Argentina. The current economic situation in Argentina, which has led the government to impose restrictive measures on imports, is affecting the development of AV industry projects. This was highlighted to AVI Latin America by Gabriela Molina, from Digital Projections.

He assured that "Our beginning of the year was very complicated because we are seriously affected by the restrictive measures on imports that are being applied in our country. We are experiencing a huge economic crisis and imports are practically banned. Despite this unfavorable context, we started the year with a huge demand for projects."

And as you mention in your response, the demand for projects and solutions continues, mainly in education, culture or companies that are making important changes in their modalities or work environments. "In general, these are structural and high-impact projects that take long planning and cannot be suspended due to the economic crisis," he said.

On the trends in the industry, Gabriela Molina indicated that in the market they operate there is great interest in more complex and robust technologies that complement the commodities that have been incorporated during the pandemic. "We find a great demand in complex AV integrations such as NOCs, large video walls or solutions that include content development. We also have many requirements for our developer area," he added.

Finally, on InfoComm Show of 2023, the representative of Digital Projections said that she hopes to find new technologies that adapt to the current needs of the IT world, as well as networking with other integrating companies to establish alliances and plan strategies that allow AVs to have more presence in the market.
