Sony announced new series of its Crystal LED screens

sony crystal led

Latin America. Sony launched two new scalable series of its premium Crystal LED displays. The bright and rich BH series (ZRD-BH12D and ZRD-BH15D) and immersive CH series (ZRD-CH12D and ZRD-CH15D) are designed for corporations, retail environments and movie rooms.

Both new series will be available in a pixel size of P1.2mm and P1.5mm and will offer the exceptional image quality and accurate colors associated with Crystal LED, along with greater installation flexibility and power consumption, all at a lower cost.

The BH series offers high gloss and a wide color gamut, while the CH series provides unmatched black levels, giving customers versatile new options tailored to their needs and applications, as well as their budgets.

Sony's Crystal LED technology is based on unrivalled image quality. The BH series has a high brightness of 1700 cd/m2, which is more than double that of other high-end LED displays, while the CH series offers 1300 cd/m2 and a black level value measuring approximately 1/10. of competing LED screens.

The X1TM image processor for Crystal LED displays enhances content to ensure smooth images, crisp, accurate images and clear gradation without motion blur. This is the result of the integrated features of the processor; 22-bit Super Bit Mapping, Reality Creation and MotionflowTM.

As a modular solution, customers can choose the size and resolution of the screen. The BH and CH series feature super-thin LEDs and a unique coating to achieve a wide viewing angle without unnatural color changes. The new models come pre-assembled and calibrated to ensure a flawless appearance. A future firmware update will allow for additional uniformity through automatic color adjustment.

Easy installation and maintenance
With a focus on installation flexibility, the new series cabinets are approximately 10% lighter and 10% thinner than the current model, making them even easier to integrate. They also use a dedicated display controller, ZRCT-300.

Less on-site part assembly translates into an installation time that is about 20% faster than previous models. By using high-efficiency LED chips, power consumption is reduced by approximately 25%. In addition, maintenance can be performed from the front of the screen, allowing it to be used in more scenarios.
