Cisco Launched Innovations for Hybrid Work

Latin America. Cisco launched new technologies designed to give customers and partners the ability to manage the complexity of a hybrid workforce. The exhibition was held during the 26th edition of Cisco Partner Summit.

As companies globally adopt more flexible ways of working – with employees in the office, on the street and at home – they face increasing challenges in ensuring that all employees have secure and reliable access to the applications they need to be productive.

With more people accessing apps outside the office, and with many of those apps located in different clouds, the networks connecting all of this have grown beyond the enterprise perimeter. Cisco announces new technology solutions designed to give customers the ability to effectively address this complexity and support their hybrid workforce.

Since the home has become a new micro-branch, this also increases the need for a new approach to security. Through new hybrid work innovations, Cisco will help customers understand where, when, how and why issues affecting the user occur and will continue to provide zero trustal security solutions] facilitating secure access to any application, over any network, from anywhere users work.

ThousandEyes Expands Unprecedented View of the Internet
ThousandEyes announced the addition of Application Outages to its Internet Insights platform, giving IT operations an instant view of SaaS applications on a global scale. Without any deployment requirements, IT teams will now have a real-time, historical view of the availability of the SaaS applications employees trust.

Customers can quickly correlate user-specific issues with broader application issues to proactively alert their staff that an application is unavailable, while also escalating the issue with the SaaS vendor, often even before the SaaS vendor acknowledges the issue publicly.

Thanks to ThousandEyes' collective intelligence, based on billions of continuous measurements across thousands of global viewpoints, the addition of application outages to Internet Insights network outages will enable customers to have a global view of all networks, services and, now, SaaS applications, which affect the digital experience.

The Internet affects all employees and consumers equally. To give users a real-world view of outages affecting the services they depend on, ThousandEyes also provides them with the first live view of SaaS and Internet application outages based on real performance data. Unlike sites that rely solely on user-reported issues, which can be misleading and inaccurate, the Cisco ThousandEyes Internet Outages Map feeds on billions of daily measurements across thousands of global viewpoints to put the power of real-world data in the hands of every user and employee.

Extend visibility to the most important applications and environments
In addition to the public Internet, visibility into collaboration applications and cloud environments has become the key to delivering great digital experiences to users. Collaboration apps have become the lifeline for many remote workers, so ensuring they're always working is a top business priority. In fact, between May 2020 and August 2021, collaboration applications became the No. 1 type of application most monitored by IT teams, indicating that the delivery of the collaboration experience is considered essential by companies in hybrid work. In addition, managing users, branch offices, clouds, and the Internet requires a simpler and more intuitive approach to SD-WAN.

To address these challenges, Cisco has recently announced innovations to enable an even better hybrid work experience. These new features include:
Cisco SD-WAN recently announced new enhancements for greater access and visibility into more clouds, with visibility to deliver superior experiences. With these innovations, Cisco offers greater interconnection with Cloud and SDCI partners, greater capacity support for multiple on-site customers, and a better user interface for more intuitive management. This includes the availability of new integrations with Equinix, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
● Recently launched on WebexOne, Cisco announced increased visibility into Cisco Webex performance through and Cisco Meraki. Meraki Insight now automates root cause analysis and specific remediation steps on a SaaS provider's on-premises network on the WAN or in the cloud. Available December 1, IT teams can leverage new ThousandEyes Webex agents for two-way visibility between user locations and Webex services
