TecnoMultimedia InfoComm Brazil completed its fifth edition

Brazil. The fifth edition of the TecnoMultimídia InfoComm Brasil 2018, the largest fair of the audio, video, lighting, automation and integrated professional systems industry in the country, which had three days of intense programming of summits, congresses and product exhibitions, ended.

"This year's fair was a success, we had a lot of new content and cutting-edge technologies, as well as summits and congresses with optimal content. We are sure that the next edition will be another success, because we believe in the growth of the sector in Brazil," said Víctor Alarcón, Project Manager of TecnoMultimídia InfoComm.

For his part, Nelson Baumgratz, Country Manager of AVIXA, Audiovisual and Intagrated Experience Association, agreed and affirmed that "there was a very great interest from companies and exhibitors to be at the fair in 2019".

Trending
According to the 2017 IOTA study, the North American display market rose from 3.3% to 3.9% in 2014 for 2016. The forecast is that it moves 5,300 million dollars in the coming years in the Americas, reaching 8.4% of the AV market, being especially used retail, for product presentations, restaurant menus or kiosks and for sporting events. "Just walking around the fair to notice the constant presence of videowalls and high-resolution displays, one of the main trends for the coming years, which will probably modify the projection market," explained Baumgratz.

Learning and knowledge
During the three days of TecnoMultimídia InfoComm, the fair had an extensive program of summits and professional training programs. One of the highlights was Hans Donner's lecture at the Digital Signage Summit, entitled "Time in the Media", in which he highlighted his life experiences, relating them to the history of the Globo Network, as well as explaining some aspects of the change in the way society faces the passage of time.

Within the framework of the Living Congress, an event that brings together the main aspects of residential and property automation, the highlights were the presentations of Google, IBM and Aureside on connected homes, highlighting how the IoT will impact homes in the future.

In addition to the Habitar Congress and Digital Signage Summit, talks, trainings and discussions were presented at the Live Events Summit, aimed at technology for events, at Led Training, the first technical congress of the LED sector held in Brazil, at the Control Room Summit, to experts in control rooms, at the Education Technology Summit, that addressed the technological trends applied to education, and also in the AVIXA Vocational Training Program, which offered technical training with companies and institutions to address issues such as AV infrastructure for various areas.

The Country Manager of AVIXA, the association responsible for carrying out the educational program of this year's fair, reinforced the importance of the summits, congresses and professional training carried out. "These trainings are essential for the professional to know the main market trends. In 2019 we intend to expand our participation and assist participants with our training program."

Danielle Andrada, director of Eduinfo and one of the speakers at the Education Technology Summit, spoke about the importance of these activities for the market. "Participating in this type of event is essential to disseminate the need for technology within the classroom, and improve education in the country. Studies show that student performance improves by around 50% with the use of digital content, which is why it is so important to disseminate this issue," he said.

Experience and business
Several participants of TecnoMultimídia InfoComm Brasil 2018 - both debutants and companies that already exhibited in previous years, visitors and speakers - praised the organization of the fair.

"We had a great experience throughout the fair, with access to many new customers, who took the opportunity to close deals, being one of the highlights of our stand were the lifts for projectors. We will certainly participate in the next edition of the fair," said Felipe Ribeiro, Commercial Director of AV Group.

For his part, Antonio MacDowell, head of the sales area of Leyard, said that "The TecnoMultimídia InfoComm was a good experience to expand and fortify our brand. We have had the opportunity to present to the market the TWS monitors and multitouch screens of 32 points 4K. With the results we had, we intend to be here again next year."

"The fair had a good audience and we won excellent partners, we bet that next year will be even better. We presented in 2018 brands such as Radius and LG Business Solutions," said Paulo Sene, Commercial Manager of AGIS.

Press coverage
This year, 24 journalists attended the event and were able to confer the novelties of the exhibitors, such as the AudioCast AC-1, oriented to the reproduction of wireless music, brought by AAT, the interactive displays of 4K multitouch experience of Leyard Planar and the complete line of high-power projectors of Epson, among many other novelties. In addition, journalists were able to enjoy the immersive experience project Infinity Room, by the artist Rafik Anadol, one of the most respectable creative designers of today.
