Colombia. The need for educational institutions to continue with classes in times of pandemic has become an opportunity for the Colombian technology integrator Era Electrónica, which during this period has installed more than 800 videoconferencing solutions in this sector.
Juan Ospina and Héctor Hoyos, representatives of Era Electrónica, told AVI Latin America that these solutions include technology for audio and video capture for the platform of each institution and speakers for return, with solutions that can be fixed or mobile and that are integrated with technologies previously installed in classrooms and auditoriums.
As for the manufacturers used in these solutions, Era Electrónica proposed three brands that it represents and that allow to adapt to the budgets of educational institutions. They are Logitech, NeonTech, and the most widely used, with more than 500 integrated solutions, Marshall, preferred thanks to its broadcast quality.
The representatives of the company stressed that the initial interest was presented in the universities and then the colleges saw the need. Training has been key so that teachers can easily use technology and be able to adapt to the virtual and alternation model that is surely here to stay.
