Book presented: 7R the seven technological revolutions

Latin America. Joan Cwaik, author, lecturer and researcher specializing in emerging technologies, presented his first book "7R: The Seven Technological Revolutions That Will Transform Our Lives", edited by Penguin Random House.

Bitcoin, Big Data, robotics, 3D printing, the internet of things, virtual reality and smart cities are the seven revolutions in which Cwaik works chapter after chapter to address their origin and the social and economic impact they generate.

With the didactics that characterize him as a communicator and lecturer, Joan affirms: "The digital age is just beginning, it is the first time that bits, intangibles, alter the material world. Today there are 3D printers that print objects designed on the computer and augmented reality, where the virtual can interact with our environment. Robotics, on the other hand, reached such a great level of development that it allows to create machines capable not only of performing household tasks, but of controlling entire cities."

Representative in the region of Maytronics, a leading Israeli company in domestic robotics, and chosen to dialogue with the former president of the United States Barack Obama on his visit to the country and former president Mauricio Macri, Cwaik writes 7R as the result of years of undertaking, working, communicating, teaching and living with technologies to explain the evolution of the most disruptive technologies of the XXI century.

"The so-called Internet of Things, for example, is the ability of some classic devices and appliances, such as the television, washing machine and refrigerator, to connect to the web to perform personalized tasks. Thus, the same machine constantly learns what the user needs", defines Joan.
