Sennheiser updates hearing assistance app

Latin America. In education, the ability to listen and understand every detail and nuance is essential. Sennheiser's MobileConnect App with a WiFi-based system, allows educational institutions to provide all their students with an optimal listening experience. The latest version further improves learning conditions for students with hearing impairments, making its use intuitive and integration into classes very simple.

With MobileConnect students no longer have to sit in special seats inside the classrooms and thanks to the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) solution, they can easily participate in the lectures, using their own smart device.

The new version of the MobileConnect app features improved audio handling and transmission stability, while maintaining uncompromising low latency. For a better user experience and ease of use, the interface has been updated with a new look. For the visually impaired, the MobileConnect app now features voice through subtitles and a dark mode, making it easy to adapt the app according to each person's needs.

The heart of the app, the personal hearing assistant, now opens immediately upon startup. To make channel selection as easy as possible for the user, the MobileConnect app allows you to enter a channel ID or use the built-in QR code scanner, depending on what the University offers. When the teacher stops, a wave-shaped animation will signal to users that they are still linked to the transmission channel.

The installation setup of the MobileConnect system is simple: Sennheiser ConnectStation links to the University's existing audio infrastructure and connects to the same WiFi network. All students need to do is download the free MobileConnect app, which, due to the unique Unicast mode, is compatible with all iOS and Android devices, as well as hearing aids, implants, and headphones  . Students use their own smartphones, so no additional hardware is required.
