NSi, owner of Platinum Tools, acquires SullStar

International. NSi Industries announced the acquisition of Simi Valley, California-based SullStar Technologies, expanding its product portfolio in the low-voltage product market. SullStar Technologies designs unique proprietary tools and connectors for the data communications and telecommunications markets.

For more than 20 years, SullStar Technologies has partnered with NSi Industries' Platinum Tools division, which NSi acquired earlier this year, for the distribution and sale of its products. SullStar's patented special electrical products include crimping tools, punching tools and connectors, and has more than 60 patents worldwide.

As part of the overall acquisition, NSi will obtain ownership and work to maintain and enforce SullStar's current patents. SullStar's proprietary product portfolio consists of high-value items that feature unique features to better meet the needs of professional low-voltage installers.

"This acquisition allows a long-standing partnership to come together, bringing tremendous value to Platinum Tools and the market," said Rob Sullivan, owner of SullStar Technologies. "NSi is an industry leader with tremendous resources and reach. We are pleased to join a company that has the same dedication to delivering the best quality products that provide ease and efficiency of installation to customers. We look forward to working with NSi and the Platinum Tools team to provide new and innovative solutions to our respective customers."

SullStar products will be branded under NSi's Platinum Tools division.

In addition to NSi's acquisition of Platinum Tools earlier this year in March, which expanded its reach in the data communications market, the company also acquired electrical products maker Bridgeport Fittings, Inc., last August, increasing its presence in North America. The company offers one of the broadest portfolios of products, services and solutions serving the electricity market. This acquisition further accelerates its growth by providing innovative, quality solutions to its distribution partners and customers.
