ProAV was the protagonist in Anixter's annual event

Mexico. Between June 4 and 8, Anixter brought together its Latin American business partners in Mexico at the event called Envisioning The Future, in which the company presented its idea of what the transformation of the business should be for the future.

Through presentations by invited experts, the company presented an overview of the four verticals that have been defined: Smart cities, Data Centers, 5G and ProAV. Raúl Valenziano, senior vice president of Anixter CALA region, stressed that we are in a moment of change with digitalization and that all change implies opportunity and growth.

One of the newest lines of business for Anixter is ProAV. Therefore, this topic was the protagonist during the event, in order to invite its business partners focused on the infrastructure and security sectors to expand the possibilities in this sector.

Within the framework of the ProAV sessions, a panel was held with experts in which Jorge de la Fuente de Belden, Guillermo Dold of Función Digital, Mauricio Escobar de Barco, Sergio Gaitán of AVIXA, Richard Santa editor of AVI LATINOAMÉRICA and moderated by Araceli Aguilar, of Anixter, participated.

In this panel, the business opportunities offered by the audiovisual industry were discussed, as well as the most interesting verticals and trends. The panel agreed that today the audiovisual industry must apply technology to generate experiences in end users, as well as help in collaboration options and in the application of standards in different integration projects.

At the event it was known that the Global Presence Alliance, GPA, recognized Anixter as a logistics partner for the region.

In the framework of the conferences on Smart Cities, Manuel Zamudio of Axis, in his presentation called The future of smart cities, stressed that the challenge of creating smart cities is to make them efficient, integrating different systems, both public and private.

He added that today we all generate a lot of data that helps governments and companies, but that can also generate a security problem if the information falls into undue hands.

At the end of the day, Raúl Valenziano invited all those present, most of them owners, managers and commercial directors of Anixter's business partner companies, to be the agents of transformation in the business model of their companies.

"This was a space to think about business transformation. It can no longer be said that we do not know what to do so that the transformation takes us to a different place. It is very big what is coming forward and alone we can not achieve it, "he concluded.
