Christie launched 40 thousand lumens 4K projector

Latin America. The new 3DLP D4K40-RGB projector presented by Christie, produces more than 90% of the Rec color space. 2020, thus ensuring rich, vibrant and realistic visuals, in a model that weighs less than half of its peers available in the market.

This team is aimed at large spaces, sports facilities, domes, giant screens, planetariums and theme park attractions are some of the places that will benefit.

"Christie's experience and engineering expertise have allowed us to create the smallest and lightest high-brightness, omnidirectional all-in-one RGB laser projector on the market, without affecting its image quality or durability in the slightest. No more bulky external coolers, remote laser racks or special pedestals: the new projector incorporates everything into an all-in-one, pure laser solution," said Mike Garrido, Senior Product Manager at Christie.

With more than 30,000 hours of operation before dropping to 80% brightness, a contrast ratio of 5000:1 and a speed of up to 120 frames per second, the Christie D4K40-RGB also offers a new, patented and perfectly sealed optical path, which in a typical installation translates into more than eight years of stable and trouble-free operation, and practically maintenance. Powerful yet energy efficient, the Christie D4K40-RGB runs on single-phase power of 220 volts, making it considerably more cost-effective than its competitors.

For its part, Christie TruLife supports a processing that reaches 1.2 gigapixels per second, enabling DLP® operation at 120Hz and 4K resolution. But in addition, its 12G-SDI, DisplayPort, Christie Terra SDVoE, Christie Link and more inputs ensure secure and quiet connectivity with a large number of sources.

The Christie D4K40-RGB will be on the market in December 2018, with a three-year warranty for spare parts and labor.
