Elation Acquires Martin Professional's M Series of Consoles

Latin America. Elation Professional announced the complete acquisition of the "M-Series" series of professional lighting consoles from Harman Professional Denmark ApS, formerly Martin Professional ApS.

This acquisition, which will be completed before the end of the first quarter of 2018, includes the rights to the name "M-Series" and also includes the technical service and purchase guarantee of devices prior to the acquisition by Elation Professional of this series of professional consoles.

Elation Professional already has today among its members highly qualified personnel with experience with the "M-Series" consoles, in order to provide a great technical service and also for the development of new consoles. In this way, a satisfactory transition in the relationship of customers and users of the "M-Series" consoles is guaranteed, with the new technical support provided by Elation Professional and not by Harman Professional Solutions.

Toby Velázquez, President of Elation Professional, said: "It is a great honour and opportunity for us to be able to offer all our customers around the world a range of professional quality lighting consoles. With the acquisition of the renowned family of consoles "M-Series", and also with the incorporation into Elation Professional of its human team of R&D (Innovation and Development) with its more than 25 years of experience in the field of lighting control for shows, we aspire to be able to offer Lighting Designers around the world very capable and at the same time intuitive professional consoles".

David Glaubke, Director of Public Relations at Harman Professional Solutions, said: "We are very pleased that the M-Series continues to be developed, now by Elation Professional, and that it also maintains its technical support. The acquisition of the "M-Series" series by Elation Professional means an exit for us from the professional lighting console market, it will also mean greater resources for our lighting and video products, where we see greater opportunities to provide innovative solutions for our customers."
