Almo opened offices in Ft. Lauderdale

Latin America. For a year now, after the purchase of Iavi, the North American company Almo has been strengthening its presence in Latin America with its different lines of business in the audiovisual industry. A new step that helps that expansion in the region was the opening of a new office in Ft. Lauderdale.

AVI LATINOAMÉRICA spoke with Juan Carlos Delgado, Almo's Global Sales Director, who explained that the new global office in Florida is part of a reorganization of the company to face the growth it is having and helps to be closer to Latin America.

"In addition to the United States, Almo has a presence in Latin America, Europe and Asia, with more than 40 business lines. Specifically in Latin America, we are with 30 lines and we hope to expand more in the coming months. The new office will help us serve Florida-based manufacturers and customers visiting Ft. Lauderdale," said Juan Carlos Delgado.

During the year that the company has been in the region, it has experienced significant growth, especially in the markets of Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Argentina. Even in Colombia they already have Almo sales staff directly serving their customers and will soon have in other countries.

Another of the company's novelties that favor its presence in the region is the website, which has just been launched in Spanish and they are preparing the Portuguese version.

Juan Carlos Delgado stressed that although the first semester in the region was a bit slow, expectations in Latin America during the second semester are high, because there are projects that are underway and should begin to be executed in the coming months.

Some of the brands almo represents are Christie, Sony, ATEN, Atlona, Avocor, Barco, BrightSign, C2G, Canon, Chief, Comprehensive Cable, Crimson, Da-Lite, Draper, Epson, Furman, IAdea, InFocus, Jelco, LAB Gruppen, LG Technologies, NEC, Optoma, Panasonic, Peerless-AV, Premier Mounts, SecurityTronix, Sharp, SunBriteDS, Tightrope, TouchSystems, Tripp-Lite, TVONE, Vaddio, ViewSonic and ZeeVee.
