Altronix presents its new 2-port NetWaySP2P converter that converts a fiber optic cable into 2 1Gb Ethernet ports with PoE/PoE+, allowing equipment to be installed over longer distances reducing the need for additional cabling, equipment and installation costs.
The equipment offers up to 30W on each port, can receive power locally or remotely using the Altronix WayPoint562, NetWay1D or NetWaySP4 rack equipment with up to 56V DC.
The converter is also compatible with accessories such as altronix's P1MM and P1SM10 SFP modules, used in multi-mode for distances up to 550 meters, and in single mode for distances up to 10 kilometers, respectively.
